Refund Policy
ECU Safe Zone sells digital firmware files. They are delivered the moment payment completes, they cannot be returned, and all sales are final.
That is a firm position, so this page also sets out what to check before you buy — most of which the site will tell you for free — and the narrow circumstances in which we will still put something right.

1.All sales are final
Once payment completes, the sale cannot be reversed
We do not offer refunds, exchanges, credits or cancellations for change of mind, for a file you decided you did not need, for a vehicle that turned out to be different from the one you expected, or for a modification you were unable to install.
By completing checkout you acknowledge that the file is supplied immediately, that you are receiving it straight away rather than after a cooling-off period, and that you are giving up any right to cancel that you might otherwise have had.
2.Why a file cannot be returned
A firmware modification is data. The instant it is downloaded you hold a perfect copy, and there is no act of returning it that puts us back where we started — unlike a physical part, which comes back or does not.
Payment is also the event that grants your download entitlement: 5 downloads over 30 days for each item on the order. Delivery is not a later step we could hold back — it happens at the same moment the money does.
3.What to check before you buy
Because the sale is final, the checks are worth two minutes. All of these are free and none of them require an account:
- Match the numbers, not the car. Read the hardware and software numbers off the ECU label and search for them directly. Spaces are ignored, so the number as printed will find it. Two vehicles of the same model and year routinely carry different controllers.
- Check the compatible vehicles on the record. Each result lists the vehicles the firmware is known to suit, with the engine code and fuel type, because those are what separate two otherwise identical cars.
- Confirm you want that modification. One ECU often has several on sale and they are priced and sold separately.
- Ask first if you are unsure. Support will help you identify the right file before you pay. We would far rather answer that question than the one that comes after.
You cannot accidentally buy the same file twice — the cart refuses a product you already own and points you at your existing download instead.
4.If the file is wrong or defective
This is the one thing that is not a change of mind, and it is treated differently. If a file we sold you is corrupt, is not the modification the listing described, or is not the firmware the record it was sold under identifies, then we have not supplied what you paid for.
Tell us and we will, at our discretion:
- Correct the file and reissue your download access, which is the usual outcome and the fastest one;
- Replace it with the correct file for your ECU; or
- Refund that item where we cannot supply what was described.
What this does not cover
A file that is genuinely the one described is not defective because the result was not what you hoped for. In particular this does not cover a file bought against the wrong hardware or software number, a modification that did not produce the outcome you wanted, damage caused during flashing, an unsuitable or faulty programming tool, or a vehicle that was already faulty.
Our Terms & Conditions explain why identifying the ECU and carrying out the write safely are yours to get right.
5.Duplicate and unauthorised charges
A billing fault is not a refund request and we fix it without argument. Contact us if you were charged twice for one order, charged an amount that does not match your order total, or charged for an order you never placed.
If you believe your payment method was used fraudulently, tell your bank or card issuer as well as us — they can act on the instrument itself, which we cannot.
6.What happens if a refund is issued
Where we do refund an order, the download entitlements on it are revoked at the same time. Your licence to the file ends with the refund, and you must delete every copy you hold and stop using it in any vehicle.
Money is returned to the original payment method. Once we have issued it, how long it takes to appear is your bank’s to decide — typically five to ten business days.
Because a refunded order no longer entitles you to anything, the store will let you buy that product again if you later need it.
7.How to raise it
Write to alisoliman2125@gmail.com, or use the support page, which lays the message out for you. Include:
- your order number, which looks like ESZ-2026-0042 and is on the order under My Orders;
- the hardware and software numbers you read off the ECU;
- which modification you bought; and
- what happened — including any tool error, verbatim.
Raise it within 14 days of the order. We aim to respond within two business days. A report that arrives months later, after the entitlement has expired, is one we can rarely do anything useful about.
8.Orders that were never paid
An order that has not been paid has not bought anything, and there is nothing to refund. If a checkout was abandoned or the payment failed, the order simply stays pending and grants no download access. Ask us and we will cancel it.
9.Chargebacks
Come to us first. Almost everything that prompts a chargeback — a file that will not open, access that expired early, a charge you did not recognise — we can resolve faster than your bank can, and usually the same day.
Raising a chargeback for a file you downloaded and kept is treated as a breach of our Terms & Conditions. We will contest it with the delivery and download records, revoke outstanding entitlements and may close the account.
None of this affects rights your card issuer or the payment networks give you, which this policy cannot and does not take away.
10.Your statutory rights
Nothing here removes a right the law gives you and does not let us exclude. Where mandatory consumer legislation applies to your purchase and conflicts with this policy, that legislation wins to the extent of the conflict and the rest of this page continues to apply.
